Hello

Dr. Natalia
I'm

Dr. Natalia

About me

My approach to therapy is centred around helping you better understand yourself, your patterns, and the ways you respond to difficult thoughts and feelings. Together, we look at what might be keeping things stuck, and explore new ways of responding that feel more helpful and sustainable.

I recognise that people come to therapy wanting different things. Some are looking for practical tools and strategies they can use straight away, while others want space to reflect more deeply on their experiences, relationships, and how the past may be shaping the present. I aim to offer both, adjusting the pace and focus of the work depending on what feels most useful for you.

A lot of the work I do focuses on how people see themselves, particularly around confidence, self-worth, and the standards they hold themselves to. This often includes gently exploring self-critical beliefs, as well as looking at how you communicate and relate to others, so you can feel more able to express yourself and live in a way that feels more fulfilling.

What can clients expect when working with you?

I aim to create a space that feels warm, open, and easy to settle into. Clients often tell me they feel comfortable being themselves, and that sessions feel collaborative rather than something being “done” to them.

From the beginning, we’ll talk about how you’d like therapy to feel, whether that’s more structured and focused, or slower and more reflective. I see this as something we shape together, and I regularly check in to make sure the work feels helpful and relevant. Around the mid-point of our work, we’ll take time to review how things are going and whether anything needs to change.

Between sessions, I may offer ideas, tools, or resources that could support you, but there’s no expectation or pressure. I believe change is most meaningful when it feels self-led, and my role is to support and guide that process.
If we’re working online, I’ll also help you think about how to make the space feel as contained and supportive as possible, including having time to settle in before and after sessions, and making sure we have a plan if technology doesn’t cooperate.

What is unique about how you work with clients?

My training and experience allow me to work in a way that is both structured and flexible. I spent many years developing a strong foundation in a more practical, skills-based approach, and have since broadened my practice through further training in counselling psychology.

This means I’m able to adapt how I work depending on what you need, whether that’s something more focused and change-oriented, or something that allows for deeper exploration and understanding over time. Rather than working from a single approach, I aim to tailor therapy so that it fits you as an individual.
