Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy

Hello

About me

I work using a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approach, while keeping my style warm, flexible and person centred. Therapy, for me, is about understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and helping clients explore patterns that may be affecting how they feel and live. Although I use evidence-based approaches, I adapt my work to the individual, responding to client feedback, needs and goals throughout the process.

I enjoy the variety that comes with working with a broad range of clients and concerns. Whether you are experiencing a common mental health difficulty, processing trauma, or wanting to better understand how your thinking affects your emotional wellbeing, we can work together to develop goals and an approach that feels relevant and useful to you.

What can clients expect when working with you?

I aim to create a therapy space that feels warm, safe, easy-going and free from judgement. Building a sense of trust and openness is important to me, so that clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences honestly and at their own pace.

Whilst using CBT, I adapt how I practise to meet each client’s needs and remain responsive to feedback throughout the process. I value collaboration and flexibility, and I believe therapy works best when there is space for both structure and genuine human connection.

I have worked extensively online throughout my career and feel confident in creating an effective therapeutic space remotely, helping clients feel supported and engaged wherever they are accessing therapy from.

What is unique about how you work with clients?

One of the things that matters most in my work is connecting with the person rather than focusing only on the problem. I see clients as individuals with their own experiences, strengths and ways of understanding themselves, and I aim to build therapy around that human connection.

My professional experience across both NHS and private practice has shaped a balanced approach that values evidence-based work alongside adaptability and responsiveness to the individual. Across different settings, my focus has remained the same: creating a supportive, thoughtful space where clients feel understood and able to work towards meaningful change.
